Here is a copy of videos that occurred yesterday February 7, 2014 at the Kainai High School, Blood Indian Reserve #148, Standoff, Alberta Canada.

This Chief and Council, have the Tribal Police utilize the war measures act and were arresting students for asking questions. This occurrence is similar to the Oglala in the 70’s they were called the GOON squad; here on the Blood Reserve they call them the Brave Dog Society; motives are the same, protect the corruption and work against the traditionalists; because Harper and Atleo are on the Rez.

In one of the videos the Police Officer is putting his hands on this student, “in appropriately”; the high school by law is supposed to be a safe learning environment!!!! and “according to professional and ethical behaviour”, those gestures displayed by the police officer  are totally unacceptable!  It appears he is caressing the poor female student……………. accordingly was she being charged???
 -
in the charter of rights, the officer has to read her rights and she has the option of calling a lawyer. The question is was she under arrest????  What you see is an example of how unethical and unprofessional the Blood Tribe Police are.

The event was just a photo op for Harper to air empty promises for the next federal election. He aired promises (surprised they didn’t come from his behind) that financial support would come into effect in 2015, “the election year” and that language and cultural support would come into effect 2016. Here is a classical example of what our elders called, “hang around the fort indians”.

Atleo and Weasel Head were clearly and unequivocally hood winked. The document clearly states that they won’t come into effect in 2015 and 2016. Both of them missed it completely, Harper is having a real good belly laugh, and probably saying what a bunch of dumb idiots, they can’t even read or comprehend what the announcement was all about.
 -
Both Atleo and Weasel Head dressed up in traditional head dresses and attire; grandstanding and stating that today is a historic day, “yes of course it is a historic day”!, a day when both of them embarrassing Kainaikoaiks because they did not understand the semantics of Harper’s verbal diarrhea. Both of them kissing and sucking up to Harper. What an embarrassment and it was being shown on national t.v., “such buffoonery.”

I am a certified and qualified educator, if this Chief and Council were going to abuse and traumatize students, why did they choose Kainai high school. Why didn’t they have this useless and unfortunate exercise at the expense of students. If this is just a foray to show how democracy works, then they should have had this event at a different location. High School Social Studies have a module on the Canadian government, here was an excellent opportunity for students to have a hands on experience and write an essay or do research on related Social Studies modules.

The Assembly of First Nations Shawn Atleo and Chief Charles Weasel Head don’t even understand the ramifications that according to the Canadian Constitution a federal election has to take place in 2015. I was disappointed nobody from the assembly spoke out and indicate that these are just empty promises and why are students being traumatized.

I have 2 videos, please view them and share with your colleagues. This is an example of how democracy works  and how women and single parents are viewed and dealt with here on the Blood Indian Reserve #148; I can be reached at (403) 737-2714.

Here is a copy of a story done by a local reporter, showing footage of how Chief Charles Weasel Head and Assembly of First Nations Chief Shawn Atleo have total disregard for the well being of young female students wanting to further their education.
-
Instead of standing up for these young ladies or supporting the cause these young ladies are manhandled, traumatized and get assaulted. Nobody in the audience or crowd come to the aid of these females being traumatized and manhandled by the Tribal Police. This is an example of how Chief Weasel Head and his Council apply the principles of peace, order and good government. This is a carbon copy of how Dick Wilson worked on the Pine Ridge Reservation in the 70’s; on the Blood Indian Reserve they called them the Brave Dog Society.
-
I believe in fairness and honesty, I believe the Special Committee on Violence Against Indigenous Women investigate this matter immediately; I believe charges should be filed against the Tribal Police.
