STTPML: Who we are and what we are about
STTPML stands for “So That The Peoples May Live” the “first mandate” among Traditional Indigenous Societies governing the nature and why of all activities and priorities of the nation.
We are all Indigenous persons, veterans and associates who have known and worked with each other for years, and have diverse skills and capabilities to bring to this site. Each of us has ongoing “ground-truth” contacts and experience not only among various Indigenous nations and their Reserves and Reservations, but also on other issues and in other places globally as well. We do not just read and cut-n-paste articles; but we link our concrete experiences at the grass-roots levels with the subjects, scopes, depths, and angles of analysis of the articles we choose to pass on or to write ourselves. We also do our own research and provide data from our studies.
We are driven by the belief that we live in Times of “critical crossroads” and myriad threats to humanity and even this planet as whole. We are driven by conscience to try to bring to the public, law, reason, diverse voices and paradigms, facts, data, memes and other forms and media of critical information simply not covered, or coverable (given their interests and competitive-survival imperatives) in the “MSM” or “mainstream media”:
We do not represent one paradigm or ideology; indeed most of us are a composite of more than one paradigm. We do not censor diverse paradigms, nor do we pick articles to feature based on the ideological background of the authors being consistent with our own. We are interested only in facts, data, opinion (and the bases for it), common sense (which ain’t so “common” otherwise there would be more of it), reason, evidence, law and reasoned debate. Those are our “weapons of choice” in the struggles against imperialism and other forms of despotism done in our name. Indeed the so-called “Founding Fathers” all warned against foreign entanglements and protracted wars that would inevitably, as they have, cause blowbacks, economic and social crises, and increasing despotism and breaches of the U.S. Constitution at home.
We believe that U.S. imperialism, under the banners of “Exceptionalism”, “Triumphalism”, “National Security” or “Manifest Destiny”, done in our name, not only threatens the Republic and Constitutional Order in America, representing proto-fascism at home and outright fascism through proxies and directly abroad, but indeed the survival of the whole planet and humanity itself given the destructive capabilities of America’s arsenal and those of others. We believe that America is the No. 1 source of state-sponsored terrorism in the world today and a threat to America as well as the rest of the world. We believe that Imperial Hubris and Hypocrisy threaten rather than promote U.S. national security and prosperity as well as global security and prosperity.
We have all seen, on the Reserves and Reservations, along with experiences as veterans of various branches of the U.S. military, U.S. Imperialism, in our name, without, as they say in China, any “mian zhao” (masks) and without any “tang yi pao dan” (sugar-coated bullets). We have spent most of our lives among the people who have no wealth, titles, positions, political influence or social notice or standing. We are trying to bring a link between realities few people know about in the Indigenous and other Worlds and the “outside” world; this applies also to the issues and conditions of other minorities and non-minorities as well.
We believe that America is on the edge of full-blown fascism and that the measures taken by NSA and other intelligence agencies to build large files and capabilities of storing large volumes of data, are not about national security in the present, but rather developing data bases, programs and other capabilities to be used in the future, by a fully developed and repressive National Security State, against dissenters more than any alleged terrorists.
The evidence for this assertion lies in the numerous persons already subjected to National Security State surveillance, such as pacifist Quakers, people of faith and conscience protesting U.S. policies and actions abroad who have no conceivable ties with or inclinations toward, any forms or groups of terrorism. Further evidence is that even now the FBI and other agencies have thousands of hours of still-untranslated tapes from pre-9/11 about 9/11. There are critical shortages of qualified translators in a wide variety of languages used in global and national crime, terrorism and espionage.
The main intelligence agencies of the U.S., CIA, DIA, NSA, DEA, FBI have all produced serial blowbacks from serial incompetence, cover-ups, poorly designed and self-imploding “special ops”, turf-battles, setting and propping-up fascist dictators and the like. They have all done for America’s standing, credibility and national security in the world what JAWS I,II, III did for ocean bathing. Their failures to predict key events and crises like the Korean War, collapse of the U.S.S.R and so many others, beg the questions and inquiry as to why–especially given their hyped and grandiose notions of themselves.
For every summarily-alleged “terrorists” grabbed or executed by drone without trial or evidence, they have created ten or twenty new enemies and potential terrorists. For every ally like Britain they have dragged along to illegal wars, founded on lies and engineered pretexts, the kind Nazis were hanged for at Nuremberg, they have alienated five former allies with their lies and leaving them to hang out exposed as also mendacious, fools for believing naked lies, and worse. When their lies are exposed they can only answer, if they do at all, with more lies.
We are offering a kind of “People’s Intelligence Service”, pouring through ancient files and declassified/leaked documents that the mainstream media would never look for, find or most certainly ever use or report, doing our own kinds of “investigations” at the grass-roots and ground-truth levels and reporting on this and other mediums. We offer some opinion and reasoned speculation pointing to areas in need of further research and “reasonable suspicion” or even “probable cause” to believe crimes are being committed.
We stand with not against the law and do not break any laws especially the very same ones we invoke for our own protection and that of our loved ones. If the law was written to make legal our extermination, as the Nazis did at the Wansee Conference in 1942, or as Canada and the U.S. did with “Race Hygiene” Laws that the Nazis said were their “inspiration”, we will oppose and refuse to obey it openly and invite prosecution to expose the law itself as the real crime and the real intentions behind it.
We favor original documents and of the Times we are examining. The reason is that as people doing bad things sense they are vulnerable, or to make themselves invulnerable to discovery, they dress-up, shape, spin, etc what they were doing and the intentions and interests driving them. But documents of the Times never intended to be seen except by co-conspirators, reveal more about the real mind-sets, the real capabilities, the real masks, the real lack of character and often intellect, behind the players and their posturing, celebrity and grandiose titles and positions.

Jamie Miscik, Deputy Director of Intelligence at the CIA was fired today. As DDI, she ran the analytic shop. According to media reports, she was fired for squandering resources on day to day reports while ignoring the broad trends. In other words, she was fired for looking at the trees and being unable to see the forest. She was also accused of spending too much time updating policy makers and too little time trying to grasp the broad trends–giving customers what they wanted instead of what they needed. In the end, it was her customers that turned on her.
My charge against her was and remains that she took no pride in her craft and turned intelligence into PR and shoddy process. She and her gang are now history.
This gives Stratfor an enormous, historic opportunity. The CIA model of analysis has been invalidated. The ponderous, process driven machine that could only manage the small things now needs to be replaced by a robust, visionary, courageous analytic system. Stratfor has the opportunity to show the way. In fact, we are showing the way. Everyone in Langley knows that we do things they have never been able to do with a small fraction of their resources. They have always asked how we did it. We can now show them and maybe they can learn.
Our annual and decade forecast will, I guarantee you, be read by everyone at the CIA. They are looking for new models and they are looking at us. Every ounce of excellence that Stratfor owns will go into those two pieces. This will not only be good business, it will serve our country. They will be a road map to the craft of intelligence.
Allan Dulles said that intelligence was a craft. It is not a mass production line. The architects of misbegotten process in intelligence have failed and are out. It is our chance to step to the plate. It’s a rare moment and I want everyone in intelligence to take a break from working to think, dream and imagine. This is our chance to do it right.
It is Stratfor’s chance to make intelligence history and build a major business at the same time. We are guided by the wisdom of many cultures and systems of thought. For example, in a letter to Arnold Ruge from Karl Marx in 1843, in response to Ruge urging Marx to be more specific about the future socialism he envisaged, Marx wrote: “If the construction of the future, and its completion for all time is not our task, all the more certain is what we must accomplish in the present: I mean, the ruthless criticism of everything that exists; the criticism being ‘ruthless’ in the sense that it neither fears its own results nor fears conflict with the powers-that-be.”
But we are first and foremost, fact, law, reason, evidence driven. We do not make claims without reference to the full sources supporting our claims; which is why some of our missives and pieces appear to be so long. We are also providing original documents that are not only rare and hard to find, but very revealing even on today’s issues. We provide all of these materials to try to motivate and give direction to future scholars and activists as well as to save them some hard work that we have in some cases already done.
